The Beaumont London launches ‘Games Nights’ – Cocktails and Games

The Beaumont, the elegant art-deco hotel located in a secluded corner of London’s Mayfair, launches ‘Games Nights’ from November 2023.  Guests are invited to gather with friends on tables of two to six people, select their game of choice and settle into a game over a classic cocktail or glass of Champagne with snacks, served in the Gatsby Room. 

Inspired by old world elegance and evoking the glamour and playfulness of the 1920s, The Beaumont’s ‘Games Nights’ revive the tradition of playing board games and cards made popular during the art-deco era. 

‘We’ve always had a playful nature at The Beaumont’ comments Duncan Palmer, Managing Director at the hotel. ‘As the nights draw in, the Gatsby Room is the perfect setting for an evening of fun.’

A selection of games, including backgammon, chess, draughts, cribbage, scrabble, rummikub and cards, is available for guests during their stay at the hotel, as well as locals, and can be requested from room service or Gatsby’s Room, where they will be available to be played every evening.  Dedicated games nights will take place on the first Tuesday of every month. 

The team at The Beaumont are on hand to recommend the best cocktail to accompany the games; with a Manhattan suggested to accompany a game of Backgammon; a Mint Julep the ideal pairing for a game of Scrabble and a French 75 adding sparkle to the strategic game of Draughts.
