New Luxury Lodges in the Idyllic Suffolk Countryside
Farmstead Lodges

A stunning collection of luxury lodges have launched in the heart of the idyllic Suffolk countryside. Designed as a back to nature retreat, the eight luxury self-catering lodges are built from sustainable materials by local craftspeople, featuring handmade kitchens, stylish open plan living rooms with log-burners, spacious en-suite bathrooms, and private verandas with outdoor copper bathtubs. Located on the edge of the village of Easton, the one- or two-bedroom Farmstead Lodges are now available for late summer bookings.
Every detail of the lodges has been inspired by the Suffolk countryside and sustainability is the guiding principle; set amongst former farmland, the lodges have been built using reclaimed wood and materials and are surrounded by rewilded meadows. Suffolk based interior designer, Angie Ashby worked with local furniture makers, upholsterers, and decorators to create chic rustic interiors. Vintage art and objet, collected from auction houses and antique markets feature throughout the lodges, creating an elegant, homely feel and a place to relax and rejuvenate.
Farmstead Lodges are the brainchild of Ali and Sian Kerr, owners of neighbouring Easton Grange, an elegant rural wedding venue. “We wanted to create a stylish, back to nature retreat that invites our guests to take time out of their busy lives. Whether they simply want to hunker down or put on their walking boots and explore, we hope they will enjoy a rejuvenating escape in our idyllic setting.” Comments Ali Kerr.
The bespoke kitchens are accessorised with stylish accessories including Rangemaster ovens, Dualit toasters, Grind coffee machines and crockery by Soho Home. Upon arrival, guests will receive a welcome pack of local amenities, including freshly baked sourdough bread from Wakelyns bakery in nearby Fressingfield along with locally churned Bungay butter.
The outdoor decks, with views over the wildflower meadows, are the place to kick back and relax. A unique feature at all the lodges are the stunning outdoor baths for decadent al fresco bathing under the big Suffolk skies. During the winter months, the log burners create a cosy interior, and the big comfy beds are made up with Piglet in a Bed linen.
The dog-friendly lodges are the perfect base to explore the surrounding countryside, with walks directly on the doorstep including ‘The Wildflower Path’ leading to the picturesque village of Easton, where the quintessential country inn, The White Horse, is the ideal stop for refreshments. Historic Framlingham Castle and world-famous Sutton Hoo are within exploring distance as well as the breath-taking coastline dotted with pretty towns such as Aldeburgh and Southwold.
One-bedroom lodges are available from £1005 for a weekend in low season (October to April) and from £2100 for a week in peak season (May to September).
